Life Legacy
Susan Marie Young, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 8, 2011.
She was born on January 27, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Thurman and Rosalyn Powers Cassetty.
She was employed as an administrative secretary for the Indiana School of the Deaf, retiring in 1996. She was a very loving, dedicated wife and mother.
Survivors include husband, Douglas S. Young, five children, Sherri (Mike) Keefer, Kathy (Marvin) Gribbins, Teresa (Ronald) Young, Beth (Herb) Stephenson, and Joshua (Chelsea) Young; five grandchildren, Steven and Amie Gribbins, Misty Scheffel, Joshua Keefer, and Danielle Stephenson; four great grandchildren, Brooklyn Gribbins, Lane Scheffel, Lucas and Logan Young; aunt, Norma Long and her beloved dog, Odie.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pat Wolford, and Shirley Ozols and aunt, Nellie Coss.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011, at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
