Life Legacy
Lorene R. Greer, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on February 26, 2012. She was born on June 28, 1933 in Cromwell, KY to the late Archie and Pearl Rogers.
Lorene was a longtime employee of Greenwood Village South, retiring in 2007. A friend to many and a stranger to none. She will be sorely missed for her gentle manner and words of wisdom. She enjoyed collecting angels, spending time with her grandson and working in her flower garden.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Greer Douglass; son-in-law, Jesse; grandson, Mitchell, all of Indianapolis; sister, Margie, of Crowell, KY; brothers, James, Cromwell, KY, and Robert, Bowling Green, KY; and other family members and dear friends.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 South State Road 135 and Olive Branch Road. Services and interment will be held in Beaver Dam, KY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Salvation Army, food bank, or other charity of the donor’s choice.
